Water and Power Wins Local SPJ Award

The radio and interactive series, “Water and Power” that I worked on with colleagues at KQED won the “Explanatory Journalism (multimedia-daily)” award from the Society of Professional Journalists Northern California chapter. The series explores the relationship between water and power, and the policies required to manage both. There were four radio features (I reported one of them) that aired on The California Report, two graphic illustrations explaining the connection between water and power and a map of California’s dams.

The coolest part is, my brother Seth also got an award from SPJ Norcal. He won “Unsung Hero” (he’s an engineer at KALW News).
