Shipwrecked on Dry Land

Shipwrecked on Dry Land is a radio documentary about plants and animals that live in isolated places in California. The story goes from the top of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the edge of the California coast to meet remarkable creatures and the people trying to understand and protect them.

You can follow my progress on the documentary at the California’s Islands blog.

I began the project as a 2009-2010 fellow with Middlebury Fellowships in Environmental Journalism, and am continuing to work on it now as a journalist-in-residence at NESCent.
